Se ha rumoreado y filtrado, pero ahora ya es oficial - Samsung ha presentado el Galaxy S3 Mini, un dispositivo que comparte su software y diseño de chasis con el Galaxy S3, y características razonablementes potentes de gama media en su interior. Descrita como una "versión compacta" del S3, el Galaxy S3 Mini ejecuta Android 4.1 Jelly Bean y la interfaz de Samsung TouchWiz.

Entre sus características clave están un procesador de 1 GHz dual-core CPU, pantalla de 4 pulgadas WVGA (800x480) SuperAMOLED y una cámara trasera de 5MP, junto con 8 o 16 GB de almacenamiento interno y soporte microSD. Eso está muy lejos de ser el hardware bestial de los Galaxy S3, pero si tiene un precio justo, podría funcionar bien en el rango de la gama media (por cierto, no hay ninguna palabra oficial sobre precios o disponibilidad todavía). Si no, nos quedamos con otra cosa, es el primer dispositivo en llegar con Jelly Bean, que es un importante hito Android.
